Neverness to Everness Characters: Elements, Roles, and Who to Build

Build one main DPS, one breaker, and one support before you build a second carry. This Neverness to Everness character database covers every released unit from v1.0 to v1.5, with the element and role the corpus actually confirms, so you can decide what your account needs without chasing an unverified label.

Who are the Neverness to Everness characters?

The released roster runs from Nanally and Hotori in v1.0 to Elyms and Exe in v1.5. Each unit has one primary role and a team shell that makes it work. The table below is the whole roster in release order.

Element accuracy

This table only prints an element the corpus states. Sakiri, Jiuyuan, Fadia, Oneiroi, Chaos, and Linko have confirmed roles but no confirmed attribute, so the cell stays open. Any guide that fills those in is guessing.

Two names need disambiguation. Chaos the character is a v1.1 unit; Chaos the element is the dark attribute. Eri and Nisha appear in v1.6 leaks but their English names, elements, and roles are unconfirmed, so they are not in this table.

Which standard character should you choose?

Take Jiuyuan if you have no main DPS, and Sakiri if you already own a limited carry. The full six-unit ranking, the 50-pull unlock, and the element caveats are on the standard selector guide; this page only lists the roster.

Who should you build first?

Build the carry you already own, then the breaker, then the support. Do not build a unit because a tier list says so if you cannot field its team.

  1. Carry: Nanally, Hotori, Lacrimosa, Shinku, Zankou, or Akane Rin — whichever you own.
  2. Breaker: Daffodill is the default; Chaos teams need her most.
  3. Support: Oneiroi if you have her; otherwise Sakiri or Jiuyuan.
  4. Flex: a neighbor for Ring Fusion, or a second support for survival.

How do you build Blackbird?

Blackbird works at A0 as a Psyche sub-DPS and support; a main-DPS build wants A1. Her Arc Disc order is Sin and Punishment > Heart-Eating Blade > Good Dog Goes Everywhere. The Console set is the Psyche set, Demon Blood: Curse. Stat priority is crit damage ≈ crit rate > all-damage > ATK% > Ring Fusion strength.

Blackbird rule

Do not force her into main DPS at A0. Use her instant Ring Fusion and off-field coordination to enable Akane Rin or another carry, then move her to main DPS after A1.

How do you build Elyms?

Elyms is a Cosmos sub-DPS on a solid-state Arc Disc. She strengthens Charge and Remora, and her Signal Strength has three steps: Weak, Medium, Strong. Her enhanced skill needs the last hit of the normal-attack string. At A0, the field time required for the upgrade is a known risk in Akane Rin teams; the corpus marks the exact loss as [verify].

  • Signature Arc Disc: Silent Color Bell.
  • Console set: Lost Radiance.
  • Known risk: long field time at A0; demo team history with Shinku is weak.
  • Best fit: Shinku teams, or a Nanally team that wants a Cosmos neighbor.

How do you build Exe?

Exe is a Chaos summon main DPS on a plasma Arc Disc. He uses Frames and Rating: Rating decides how fast Frames accumulate. Standing still earns very little; the character's ceiling is decided by positioning and input skill.

  • Signature Arc Disc: Dotted Horizon.
  • Team: Exe + Blackbird + Zankou + Sakiri, Linko, or Oneiroi.
  • Do not evaluate him from a stationary test; low-effort play may perform at T2 level.
  • The Akane Rin + Blackbird + Exe + Elyms four-unit ring is theoretical and needs live verification.

FAQ

How many characters are in Neverness to Everness?

The corpus lists 18 released units through v1.5, plus two unconfirmed v1.6 names. Six of the 18 are on the standard selector.

Who is the best standard 5-star?

Jiuyuan or Sakiri. Jiuyuan groups and heals at E1; Sakiri groups and buffs damage. Take the one your account lacks.

Is Chaos a character or an element?

Both. Chaos is the dark element and also the name of a v1.1 character. Check the context when you read a guide.

Is Blackbird a main DPS?

She can be at A1. At A0 she is better as a Psyche sub-DPS and support who enables instant Ring Fusion.

Are Eri and Nisha playable?

Not yet. They are v1.6 community leaks with unconfirmed English names, elements, and roles.
