This page explains what NTE Field Guide collects, why, and how you can opt out. The short version: the site stores a theme preference in your browser, receives your email only if you subscribe, and may use Google AdSense cookies after ad approval.

Who we are
NTE Field Guide is an independent guide site. The data controller can be reached at [email protected].

The subscribe form is handled by Forminit, a form backend. Forminit receives the email address and standard submission metadata, stores the submission, and forwards it to the site inbox. Do not submit an email address you do not want stored.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses browser localStorage for the theme and cookie-consent keys. These are not advertising cookies and are not shared with third parties. The cookie notice explains how to clear them.
Advertising and Google AdSense
The site is prepared for Google AdSense but does not currently display ads. If ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites.

- Third-party ad vendors may collect IP address, device information, and interaction data under their own policies.
Analytics
If privacy-friendly analytics are enabled later, they will be described here before launch. The current build ships without an analytics script.
How long data is kept
Subscription emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and debugging. Forminit's retention follows its own policy and plan settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to withdraw consent. Email the address above to exercise those rights. You can unsubscribe from any message using the link in the email.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and the subscribe form should not be used by anyone under the age required by local law to consent to data processing.
International transfers
Forminit and any future analytics or ad provider may process data outside your country. Where required, those providers rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Changes
If this policy changes, the update date at the top changes. Material changes affecting subscribers will be noted in the next email.
