Cookie Notice
NTE Field Guide uses two local storage keys (theme and cookie choice) and no advertising cookies in the current build. If Google AdSense is enabled later, ad cookies will be added and this page will be updated before they go live.
Last updated: November 2, 2026
What is stored now
| Key or cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| nte:theme | localStorage | Remember light or dark theme | Until cleared |
| nte:cookie-consent | localStorage | Remember your banner choice | Until cleared |
These keys are essential for the site to behave the way you selected. They are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
The subscribe form
The form posts to Forminit, which processes the email address and submission metadata. Forminit may set its own cookies or use its own spam protection. See the privacy policy for the data flow.
Future advertising
The site is AdSense-ready but ads are hidden. When ads are enabled, Google and its partners may set cookies for frequency capping, measurement, and personalization. The banner and this page will be updated before that happens.
How to clear or block
- Clear site data in your browser settings to remove the local storage keys.
- Use a private window to avoid persistent storage between sessions.
- Block third-party cookies in your browser; the site's own keys are first-party.
- Use Google Ads Settings to opt out of personalized advertising if ads are enabled.
Do Not Track
The site does not run a cross-site tracker in the current build, so there is no separate DNT response. If analytics are added later, the behavior will be documented here.
